Reflecting the love of Jesus Christ, We encourage all church members to give their time, talents, and treasure;  to support mission projects of the First Presbyterian Church of Wildwood.

James 2:15-17

Suppose  a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

Helping Hands in Wildwood and the World 

Agencies FPCW Mission Team Supports and What They Do

 

Local Missions: 

· Caring Hands Food Pantry:  Caring Hands Food Pantry provides food, clothing and small household items, to those in need in Wildwood and Northern Sumter County, in a Christian environment.

· Cleansing Love Ministry:  Cleansing Love Ministry is operated out of Mercy Point Church in Wildwood. On the third Thursday of every month, they distribute cleaning supplies to clients that have been vetted by Love, Inc, based on their eligibility.

· Christmas Angel Tree – Gifts are collected for medically fragile children in foster care.

· Community Medical Care Center – a free medical and dental clinic that is part of the Christian Care Center run by The First Baptist Church in Leesburg

· Forward Paths:  Forward Paths works with youth, mostly ages 18-24, who have aged out of Foster Care, or are unaccompanied or homeless for other reasons. They provide help with housing, food, counseling, educational support, job training, and more - whatever the young person needs to become independent.

· Hands of Mercy Everywhere: Hands of Mercy Everywhere is located in Belleview and provides teen mothers and girls at risk of sex traļ¬ƒcking with housing and other vital resources, including education, parenting classes, life skills, career development, counseling, and other means of support, as they transition to adulthood.

· The Haven – a Shelter for abused women and their children

· The House of Hope – The House of Hope is a faith-based residential rehabilitation center for up to 20 men who are 18 and older located in Wildwood.   This Biblically-based rehab program typically lasts one year.  Since its inception over 300 young men have "graduated" from the program to become self-sufficient, contributing citizens.

· The Infant & Toddler Pantry – a Christian program that provides clothing, diapers and baby food for young children in the tri-county area.  Works closely with Love, Inc.

· The Lazarus - Lazarus Clinic provides healthcare services including medical, dental, case management, and preventative education to individuals in critical need. It provides free medical care to the uninsured, low income and those unemployed.  The Clinic is located at 210 Wonder Street, Wildwood FL (352-748-4567).  Visits by appointment only

· Love, Inc  In The Name Of Christ}– a Christian organization that coordinates their resources and services to  help our neighbors in need in the tri-county area. Gap Ministries include: Angel’s Touch Clothing, Personal Care Ministries, Clothe a Kid, Birthday Boxes, Christmas Blessings, Access (food stamps), Job Connection, Journey classes, + others.

· Wildwood High School Booster Club: Supports a variety of school programs.
